Meet Our Veterinarians
Dr. Jeff Piper, DVM
Dr. Piper’s hometown is Wood, South Dakota and he graduated from Iowa State University in 1987. “I grew up in rural ranch country, which meant I spent a large part of each day working with and taking care of horses, livestock, and small animal pets. Becoming a veterinarian has given me a lifetime profession that’s allowed me to continue working with animals.” Dr. Piper enjoys enjoys playing the guitar and reading in his spare time. He also loves participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, hunting, and camping, especially with his son. Dr. Piper owns one very cute rat terrier that goes by the name of Milo.
Dr. Laura Lister, DVM
Dr. Lister was born in Canada, but she was raised all over the southwestern desert. She graduated from Purdue University in 1994 and has been with Ocotillo Animal Clinic since January of 2012. Dr. Lister greatly enjoys the amazing passion between an owner and their pet. “I get to see ‘science in action’ everyday.” On her free time she loves to figure skate, sing, play the guitar, and read murder mystery novels. Her furry family is made up of Snowbee the Greyhound, Dash the Brussels Griffon, and Holly the sweet and full of life Doberman.
Dr. Sheri Beck, DVM
Dr. Beck‘s hometown is Mustang, Oklahoma. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1993 and joined the Ocotillo Animal Clinic team in August of 2010. Dr. Beck has special interests in geriatrics, nutrition, and sports medicine. She absolutely loves doing agility training with her dog and enjoys gardening and camping on her free time. She owns four pets; Scarlett the Great Dane, Cuda the Weimaraner, Tootsie the domestic short hair, and Fuzzy the Persian.
Dr. Robin Robson, DVM
Dr. Robson’s desire to work with animals began at a young age. “Ever since I was a young girl, I’ve always loved animals. My love for veterinarians and dream of becoming one began when I was seven. We brought our dog to the vet for the first time and it was such an enjoyable visit that my heart aspired to become a Veterinarian.” Dr. Robson’s dream came true when she graduated from Texas A & M in 2001 and began working at Ocotillo Animal Clinic. “I love helping animals that cannot help themselves and conversing with owners about ways to improve their pet’s quality of life.” Dr. Robson owns Buzz the cat, Bentley the Lhasa Apso, and Cricket the Maltese. In her free time, Dr. Robson enjoys spending time with her husband and children, reading, and hiking.
Dr. Kristine Heitman, DVM
